Construction Waste Management Plans
Construction Waste Management Plans – The goal of a construction waste management plan is to reduce the amount of construction waste being sent to the landfill. The CWMP is a written document that outlines what materials you will recycle at your project site, where the materials are going, how they will be separated, as well as who is responsible for managing the materials.
Arwood makes it Easy to be Green – We create your CWMP for you.
New construction projects in the City of Fort Collins are required to have a written Construction Waste Management Plan outlining how one will recycle concrete, wood, cardboard and metal as part of the Green Building Code http://www.fcgov.com/building/pdf/green-constr-waste-plan.pdf
LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
Arwood Waste has a LEED Green Associate on site to help your project achieve the material and resource credits. AW’s LEED Program trains project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors on how to divert large amounts of waste from the landfill. Diverting waste from the landfill is done through the creation of a construction waste management plan, waste stream audits and both reuse and recycling of project waste.
In 2011, AW supported the Construction Waste Management for LEED Certified projects.
Asphalt, Concrete, Drywall, Glass, Metals, PVC Piping and Fencing, Wood, and Cardboard. If there is an abundance of non-recyclable materials on a job site, AW will research alternative options for landfill diversion such as donation of materials to local salvage material organizations.
A monthly weight report is emailed to you so you track your progress.
